Fred Haustein
Senior Pastor

Rev. Haustein is an Arkansas native, having grown up in Little Rock. He is married to Sandy, who is an educational consultant for Arkansas State University. One son, Matt, is a Cardiology Fellow at UAMS, and the other son, Mark, is a design engineer who lives in Jonesboro with his beautiful wife, Katrina. Fred loves working with our creative staff and dedicated lay leadership to “provide innovative new wineskins” for the “new wine” God’s Spirit is sharing with His church today (Matt. 9: 16-17). He enjoys playing golf (even though he does it “badly”), playing with his West Highland Terrier dog, “Indy” (as in “Indiana Jones”), and celebrating the abundance of God’s grace in the exciting, growing fellowship known as St. James.

John Embrey
Executive Pastor

John grew up in Barling, a suburb of Fort Smith. He earned an Associates degree in Accounting, a Bachelors in Psychology and History, and a Masters in Counseling Psychology before graduting from Memphis Theological Seminary in 2004. His wife, Kim, is a Physical Therapist. The Embreys have one son, Noah, and a daughter , Sarah Grace. They enjoy spending time together as a family in the great outdoors and with their pets.

Greg Schick
Pastor of Contemporary Worship

Rev. Greg Schick has served St. James as an associate pastor (3 years) and as their youth pastor (7 years). Before being called to ministry, Greg worked at KATV Channel 7 in production and as an on-air director. He graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock as a Radio, TV Film major and has a minor in Theatre. His hobbies have always been singing/playing/writing music, watching movies and playing sports. As a pastor to contemporary worship, Greg uses all the things he knows and loves in ministry. He leads a Christian rock band for a worship service called Vertical Event, designs all the images for the screen that’s in worship, and takes pictures and video of everything that moves to use as a teaching tool! Greg and his wife Christa have four wonderful children who have grown up at St. James - Alex, Lisa, Katie and Emily. Greg is a student Saint Paul School of Theology in Kansas City, Missouri.

Bill Sardin
Pastor to Children and Families

Bill Sardin started at St. James as the director of children's ministries in august of 2005. In August of 2008 Bill was appointed to St. James as Pastor to Children and Families. Prior to being called into ministry he was a computer network technician for the Pulaski County School district. Bill and wife Kimberly have 2 children, Mallory and Wesley. Bill and Kimberly have been members of St James since 2000.

Clark Atkins
Pastor of College Ministries

Clark joined the staff of St. James in the summer of 2008 as the church’s first Pastor of College Ministries. He serves as a part-time pastor while working full-time at Pulaski Technical College as their Director of Admissions. He holds a Master of Education degree in Higher Education from the University of Arkansas and brings to St. James over 12 years of experience working with college students. Clark is currently pursuing his Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary. His hobbies include watching movies, video editing, spending time outdoors, and regularly traveling to Walt Disney World with his family. Clark and his wife, Sherry, have two beautiful daughters, Allison Ann and Sophia Grace. and a Boston Terrier named Chewie.

Kim Anderson
Director of Faith Development

Kim Anderson joined the St. James staff in the summer of 2010 as the Director of Faith Development. Kim grew up in Magnolia and attended Southern Arkansas University where she obtained a BBA in Business Administration. Kim received a Master’s Degree in Religious Education from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington DC. Prior to joining the St. James Staff, she served as the Director of Christian Education for 14 years at Trinity UMC in Beaumont TX. Her experiences include writing curriculum for all ages, developing new programs, and working with all age-levels. In her free time Kim enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with family and friends, especially her niece and nephew.

Renee Anderson
Maintenance Supervisor

Renee has been at St. James for over 10 years. As the Maintenance Supervisor, she oversees all building and cleaning operations. When she's not working, she loves to be with her animals. She enjoys the outdoors and white water activities. Renee has a beautiful daughter named Riley and spends all her free time loving her!

Marcia Dunbar

Marcia has been a member along with her husband, Sean, for 5 years. They have two children, Lance and Katlyn who are very active at St. James as well.

Robert Lindley
Associate Director of Music

Robert came to St. James in 2003 from Brentwood UMC in Nashville. He is an Arkansas native who received his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the University of Texas at Austin. At St. James, Robert serves as organist and director of youth handbell choirs. In his spare time, Robert is the accompanist for the Arkansas Chamber Singers.

Molly Robinson
Coordinator of Children & Youth Music

Although educated and trained as a speech/language pathologist, music has always been Molly’s first love. Ms. Molly has been the coordinator of children/youth choral music at St. James since 1998. She’s been directing children’s vocal choirs here since 1985 and children’s handbell choirs since 1992, and she also teaches piano lessons. Molly and her husband, Milton, have three children and three grandchildren.

Marcy Bujarski
Learning Center Director

It’s clear that Marcy loves her job, because she never stops smiling! Marcy joined the St. James Learning Center in 1988 as a Pre-K teacher and became the director in 1992. She is a graduate of Hendrix College and the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. She and husband George have 3 children, 2 sons-in-law, 1 daughter-in-law, and 2 beautiful grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening.

Ann Baskette
Director of Senior Adult Ministries

Ann was hired in 2003 to begin the Community of Hope Ministry at St. James. Since then, 93 lay chaplains have been trained in pastoral ministry and serve in various visitation ministries. She is also in charge of the Senior Adult Ministry. Her duties include ministering to the homebound and planning fellowship and social activities for active seniors.

Martha Coop
Director of Hospitality

The Hospitality Director is Martha Coop, but her friends call her Kitten. She joined St. James in October of 2006. Martha handles all of the activities and events that require use of the kitchen, which is just about everything! She has many wonderful volunteers that help, and you are invited to be one of them! Before coming to St. James, Martha was the Christian Education & Family Life Director at First UMC in Pine Bluff.

Amy Morledge
Director of School-Age Weekday Ministries

Amy is the Director of School-Age Weekday Ministries at St. James. She joined the staff in June of 2006, learning and assisting under LaVerne Keahey until LaVerne’s retirement in December. She is a 2006 graduate of Ouachita Baptist University with a degree in Christian Studies. Amy was born and raised in Searcy, Arkansas, where she first discovered her love for children by volunteering and working at First UMC Searcy. While still in college, she heard about St. James and knew God was leading her there. When she’s not working, Amy enjoys singing in the choir at St. James and spending time with her new husband Birc, her family, friends, and pets.

Jenny Smith
Director of Community of Hope

As the Associate Director of Care and Visitation Ministries, Jenny is responsible for visiting members that are hospitalized, in a nursing home, or homebound. She came to Little Rock in 1987 from Kentucky. Jenny is a widow with 3 grown children (twin daughters who live here and a son who lives in Cincinnati), 2 grandsons and grand-something on the way. She has found that her work at the church has been one of the most rewarding experiences of her working career. She recently completed studies in Clinical Pastoral Education at UAMS and co-facilitates the Community of Hope training that is taught at St James.

Chad Badeaux
Director of Youth Ministries

Chad has been full-time at St. James since March, 2002 and has been in full-time youth ministry since January, 2000. He has a great passion for youth and their faith journeys, because after all, he’s on the same journey. Jamie, his wife, is a research lab type person at Children’s Hospital. We are sure she has a better title than that, but Chad struggles at all things science including understanding his wife’s job. They have one son, Eli, and 2 cats, Rogue and Little Man. Chad enjoys life and the great variety of entertainment that God has blessed the human race with including movies, music, and sports. His influences are: Jesus (obviously), James (the brother of Jesus), Star Wars, The Simpsons (especially Homer), Cal Ripkin, Spiderman, and Batman. Chad believes in a “Taco Bell” God. His logo is: “If we all think outside the bun, just think of the change we can make” (from the placemat at Taco Bell).Plus, God is the ultimate source of free refills!

Brenda Weeks
Director of Mission Outreach

Before joining the staff at St. James, Brenda was active in missions, so when a Director of Mission Outreach position was created, she was the perfect choice. Her volunteer activities at St. James include leading Bible studies and serving on the Administrative Board. Outside of St. James, she teaches an art class at Presbyterian Village and Good Shepherd Retirement Home, and is the President of the Board at Camp Aldersgate. Her husband Don is the Missions Coordinator for the Arkansas Conference of the UMC. They have 2 children and 6 wonderful grandchildren.

Sarah Owens
Director of Nursery Ministries

Sarah has been with St. James since 1998. She coordinates nursery care for ages birth-1st grade for worship services and all ages for Bible studies, church meetings and all other goings-on at St. James. Prior to coming to St. James, Sarah was a teacher at a private school with a focus on Early Childhood Education. Sarah and her husband, Keith, and their children, Ben, Sally and Jake, have been members of St. James since 1997.

Julie Graham-Johnson
Financial Assistant

Originally from the Midwest, Julie moved to Little Rock in 2003. In addition to her work at St. James, she is an active member of the Transitions Sunday School Class and MAD Volunteer. When she's not at St. James, she spends time with husband Scott, children Christa and Ashley, and dog Star. She also enjoys playing bridge, reading, and crafting, and is learning to play golf.

Patty McCreight
Administrative Assistant

Patty grew up in the St. James family. She started working at St. James as a part-time assistant in the music department, and was recently hired as the new Administrative Assistant. Her new duties include administrative support and running the Print Shop. Patty has two beautiful girls, Anna and Caroline. Patty is an active volunteer in many different missions at the church, including MAD, Alumni Ringers and Grace Notes. You may also see her occasionally at the Weekend Theater.

Liz Robinson

Liz Robinson came to St. James with a non-profit background and a love of kids. Married to Trip Robinson, they have a young boy, Fisher, and a daughter, Lilly. You will find Liz working with our Middle School ministries starting with the Confirmation class on up through 9 th grade. Shelly Reed

Shelly is one of the newest members of the St. James team. As the Communications Coordinator, she oversees the development of newsletters, bulletins and other printed materials. Her husband, Randy is the pastor at Ebenezer UMC in Tull and Traskwood UMC. If she can ever squeeze in a moment to herself between 6 children, her husband's 2 churches and her work here at St. James, she is working on her history major at UALR.

Tracy DePue
Director of Music Worship and the Arts

Tracy joined the staff of St. James in the summer of 2010 following 19 years of music ministry at Grace Presbyterian Church, Plano, Texas. She earned the Bachelor of Music (Piano Performance) from Maryville College (TN) and the Masters of Music (Choral Conducting) from the University of Houston. Tracy loves traveling and most of her travels have been as part of a musical touring group. She has toured with adult choirs to Scotland, England, and twice to Carnegie Hall. She has taken youth choir/handbells on tour to 19 states and Greece. As a member of the Dallas Symphony Chorus and Dallas Handbell Ensemble, Tracy has toured to Eastern Europe, Israel and South America. Tracy is in demand as a youth choir and handbell clinician and has taught at various conferences and individual church choirs. Her passion for congregational singing has been developed as a Melodious Accord Fellow – earned through a week long song leading fellowship taught by Alice Parker. Tracy is the proud owner of a wonderful, 9-year old beagle named Maggie.

Erin Gray
Financial Secretary

Erin Gray is the Financial Secretary. She grew up in Little Rock and went to college in Florida at the University of Tampa. She is the proud mother of two children, Camryn and Turner. Erin has worked for several non-profit organizations, including Easter Seals here in Little Rock.
